After a dispensation of blood sacrifices and rolling back of sins and 400 years of silence, Jesus was born in flesh and then crucified as the ultimate and final blood sacrifice, not only to roll away our sins but to completely remit them. We now live in a dispensation of grace and mercy because we're covered by the precious blood of the lamb. Over the month of April, we're going to talk about the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and how it applies to your salvation today.

Bible Scripture: John 15:13 - Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Faith ApplicationCommit to praying every day this week and fasting one day a week. Pray when you want. Remember, you may not pray an hour a day but don't let an hour go by without communicating with God. On your fast day, fast whatever you feel, but let it be a sacrifice; let it be from the heart. Fast something that has become an idol in your life and takes up your time and your energy in place of moments with God.

Prayer Focus: Lord, this week I want to take the time to thank You for Your sacrifice and all you endured for our salvation. Let me be more open to the revelation of the shed blood and what it means for my life, and for my eternity with You in heaven. Lord, reveal to me the changes and sacrifices I need to make in my own life to obtain and maintain that salvation in my life until I am called home.

Family Activity: As we just celebrated Easter, take some time to talk to your family about the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross and how it affects our lives still today. Read the Easter story together here from the different perspectives of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Kids may want to watch this Easter story video here
